Leeds City Council and Good Things Foundation are working together to create the 100% Digital Leeds movement.

100% Digital Leeds is a cross-sector collaboration bringing together a wide range of organisations to work towards a shared goal: helping the thousands of adults across Leeds who lack the basic digital skills they need to participate in today’s world. People who are offline are missing out on all the benefits the internet can provide, from finding work to saving money or keeping in touch with friends and family. With the introduction of Universal Credit in the city later this year, we think this is a timely call to action.

We’d love your organisation to get involved, join the 100% Digital Leeds movement and apply for an activation grant of £1,500!

If you’re not yet an Online Centre, join now!

If you’re already an Online Centre, in addition to all the membership benefits of being part of the Online Centres Network, this is an opportunity to re-ignite or scale up your delivery of basic digital skills training, with enhanced support from Good Things Foundation and a newly appointed dedicated team at Leeds City Council.

If you sign up to join this new movement, you’ll be invited to apply for an activation grant of £1,500. You can use the grant to help you overcome any barriers that prevent or limit your delivery of basic digital skills, such as a lack of equipment, connectivity or training for staff and volunteers. (Please note that organisations currently receiving funding from Good Things Foundation are not eligible for an activation grant.)

100% Digital Leeds is committed to:

  • Building strong connections throughout the city
  • Bolstering support from the private sector and creating cross-sector partnerships
  • Bringing together like-minded organisations to share learning and best practice
  • Providing localised resources, support and training
  • Sourcing funding opportunities for organisations delivering basic digital skills
  • Raising the profile of organisations in the movement, and the relevance & importance of digital inclusion

If you’re still not sure about joining the movement or would like more information about 100% Digital Leeds, Online Centres or the activation grants:
