We know that improving digital access and avoiding loneliness are issues that are important to everyone, and these dual challenges are particularly of interest and relevance to blind and partially sighted people.

Focusing on digital inclusion, 100% Digital Leeds, Leeds Libraries, and Deafblind UK, are bringing together the organisations in Leeds that can support those with visual and hearing impairments to make the most of digital.

Get Connected Launch: Tues 4th June // 10:00am Р3:00pm // Leeds Central Library

Visitors will be able to get support to get online, find out how to make the most of their device, and discover new tech that can help make their lives easier. Hands-on help will come from organisations like Leeds Hearing and Sight Loss Service, Deafblind UK, and 02. The full line-up will be announced shortly.

This will be followed by a series of smaller events in branch libraries across the following fortnight.

If your organisation would like to be involved, please email amy.hearn@leeds.gov.uk

The line-up will be updated on eventbrite.

Make A Noise In Libraries is an annual event to raise awareness of the support available for those with sight loss to engage with reading. This year the event has a broader theme – ‘Get Connected’.
